Geek Girl T-Shirt Design-Your Opinions Requested

I've been batting this idea around for over a year, now, and I think I've finally got it worked out. Of course, this being my idea, I think it's cool, but as with my books, my opinion doesn't matter much. What I want to know is if people would buy this design if I offered it for sale.
I think I will probably load the text designs to Zazzle, just to give them a place to live until conference time. But come Realm Makers: 2014, I am going to have to print a batch to sell, and that means picking a color or two.

That's where you come in!

In the comments below, I'd love to hear what color you'd buy, if any. And if you wouldn't spend any amount of money on something like this, I want to hear that too.
So please, comment away! I'd love your feedback, even if it's just to tell me I'm crazy.

If you love these and want your own shirt, visit my Zazzle store at http://www.zazzle.com/faithandfantasy and see what colors I've loaded for sale there.

    1. Cool! Thanks, Aaron. They'll be available on my Zazzle store shortly. ( http://www.zazzle.com/faithandfantasy ) We'll also be taking pre-orders for the shirts when we get closer to the conference, where the pricing will be a little different. I figured I'd put them on Zazzle for folks who just couldn't wait. As of 9:45 on Friday, the system had not yet loaded them, FYI.

  2. I would definitely buy the purple for my daughter :). Love the red, too, and if my daughter's bff likes that color I'll get one for her. I'm torn between the two colors for myself...

I'm not a big pink person, but others might be, so take that as personal taste. I would love to love the green, but

    green doesn't love me :P.

I am actually much more of a dark color person, so when given a choice I go for black and dark blue, but I can
see how that would not work with this silhouette design. Oh, wait, I see you have this in a white background on a baseball tee on Zazzle! Woot!

PS--you know I'm totally going to wear mine to the next Necronomicon :). Hopefully it'll catch the eyes of some of the geek girls there.

    1. Thanks, Kat. It would be totally awesome if you wore one at Necronomicon. I did load a black tee with pink to the Zazzle store, and hopefully I can get to the green on black as well very soon. Whether people buy them or not, they've been fun to make.

  3. I like the darker backgrounds too. Green and purple are my pick. :-)

  4. I love the purple; my daughter would love the pink, but at four she'd been too little to wear one. I hardly ever wear graphic T-shirts anymore, but I'd probably make an exception for this design. It's ace.

    1. Hi Clare! I may load some children's products to the Zazzle site as well as I can get to it, since I don't think you're the only one who would want a child or youth size. Thanks for the kind words. :)

  5. My favorite version would be green on a black shirt. Is the $33 price b/c it's low volume? That's pretty pricey, especially for short-sleeved shirts. My second pick would be purple on a black shirt. I won't be at Realm Makers. :-(

    1. Zazzle's prices can be high, but they run sales a lot. Get on their mailing list, then you'll know when tees are 50% off.

And bummer--it would have been so nice to meet you, Gretchen!

    2. I second Kat's explanation. Zazzle is higher than it should be, and I believe it's for just the reason you say, because it's one-off, like P.O.D. for apparel. If you can hit a sale, that's your best bet. When I open registration, I will probably offer two colors for order, and I will try to find a way for people who aren't going to the conference to order on that batch, because I will be having them done by a normal screen printer, and that will cut the price by 30-40%, I'm pretty sure.

It's basically the same old toss up--smaller selection versus high price to get whatever you want. I wish had a way of making it more cost effective.

  6. I like the green and the purple, though I wouldn't buy them unless they were V-neck and fitted. The baseball one is pretty cool (just look at all those colours!) so that would be my choice for now.

  7. I'm partial to purple, but the green appeals to me too.

  9. The Geek Girl shirts are great. Would love green on black, but if not you've chosen some other good options. I will be buying one...or two. Looking forward to wearing it.
